Film Description

A period drama set in 1920s Italy in which two rather proper Englishwomen (Miranda Richardson and Josie Lawrence), determined to get away from their drab lives and inattentive husbands, find paradise among the serene countryside of the Italian Riviera. Though personalities soon clash with their unlikely companions at their villa - a haughty dowager (Joan Plowright) and a beautiful socialite (Polly Walker), they are soon reminded of ways to live and love that have long eluded them.
