Film Description

A documentary that traces the history of one of the most iconic images of the 20th century - the photo of Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara taken by photographer Alberto Korda. Taken in 1960 while Che Guevara was attending an outdoor memorial service, Korda's photo of the revolutionary leader remained unknown until the end of the decade, when an Italian publisher asked to use the image. Since then, the head of the martyred leader has appeared on everything from protest banners to t-shirts, beer and bikinis, but what does he represent to modern consumers? Interviewees include Antonio Banderas, Gerry Adams and Gael García Bernal.
