Film Description

Borrowing loosely from Poe's The Pit & The Pendulum, Castle of the Walking Dead stars Christopher Lee as sadistic Count Regula, and director Harald Reinl's real life wife Karin Dor as the luscious Baroness Lillian von Brabant.

After a public execution, a small Transylvanian community thinks it has finally rid itself of the murderous Count Regula (Christopher Lee), known to his victims as Dr Sadism - they were wrong. Thirty-five years later, he is brought back to life by his servant and returns to drink the blood of Baroness Lilian von Brabant (Karin Dor), the daughter of his previous intended victim. Luring her to his castle, along with Roger Mont Elise (Lex Barker), the son of the man who sentenced him to death, the Count begins to exact his revenge...
