Film DescriptionA highly enjoyable feelgood movie, Brassed Off is set in North Yorkshire in 1992, where, determined to rise above the misery of industrial decline and smashed dreams, the Grimley Colliery Band, led by Danny (Pete Postlethwaite), enters the National Championships at the Royal Albert Hall. Gloria (Tara Fitzgerald), the daughter of a former band leader, returns to the band and raises their spirits, beginning a relationship with one of their younger members (Ewan McGregor).
