Film DescriptionThe scandal that brought down President Nixon gets the Hollywood treatment in the all-star political thriller, All The President's Men. Washington Post reporters Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) and Bob Woodward (Robert Redford), aided by the White House mole 'Deep Throat', thwart Nixon's attempted cover up after his agents are caught breaking in to the Watergate complex. Hal Holbrook's shadowy Deep Throat scenes must have inspired about 50% of the X Files, and the whole thing is true life played as film noir. Fascinating, thrilling stuff, licked into shape by the always estimable William Goldman. Jason Robards won an Oscar for his portrayal of the Post's editor.
