Film Description

Based on the bestselling novel by David Nicholls, One Day is a romantic drama about two friends who reunite every year on the anniversary of their first meeting.

After one day together - 15th July 1988, their university graduation - Emma Morley (Anne Hathaway) and Dexter Mayhew (Jim Sturgess) begin a friendship that will last a lifetime. She is a working-class girl of principle and ambition who dreams of making the world a better place. He is a wealthy charmer who dreams that the world will be his playground. They keep in touch, meeting up again on the same day each year. Over the following two decades, the ups and downs of their relationship sees them take stock of their lives and attempt to discover what they've both been missing all along.
