Film Description

A set containing the two Channel 4 dramas from Shane Meadows that revisit the characters from his 2007 film 'This Is England' - This Is England '86 and This Is England '88.

In This Is England '86, Thomas Turgoose reprises his role as Shaun, a school-leaver with little prospect in mid-1980s England who, along with his group of friends, is coming to terms with his impending adulthood in an unstable social climate of 3.4 million unemployed, strikes, race riots and anti-nuclear protests.

Meadows followed up the explosive, Bafta award-winning This Is England '86 with a one-off, three hour special - This Is England '88, which acts as a bridge to a further series by pulling together the story threads from '86, and leaving the way clear for This Is England '90.
