Film DescriptionA movie that confronts the story of one of the most shameful acts of France's wartime history - the 1942 'Vel' d'Hiv Roundup', in which a French police operation involving 9,000 officers was mounted, rounding up 13,000 Jews, mostly the elderly, women and children. Most of the people were kept at the Velodrome d'Hiver sports stadium in Paris, but many were sent on to Auschwitz. The operation was ordered by France's Vichy government. Jean Reno and Melanie Laurent star.
