Film Description

A delightful, dark, stop-motion animated modern classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas sees Pumpkin King Jack Skellington, bored with the same old scare-and-scream routine, longing to spread the joy of Christmas. But his merry mission puts Santa in jeopardy and creates a nightmare for good little boys and girls everywhere!

Animator Henry Selick next went on to James and the Giant Peach, but this may well be his finest hour, and the songs (and singing voice) of Danny Elfman add to the whole Addams Family feelgood tone.
