Film Description
In Absolute Power, Clint gives full vent to right-wing suspicions about the moral bankrupcy of America's liberal political elite.
Whilst on a job, burglar Luther Whitney (Clint Eastwood) witnesses the President of the United States, Alan Richmond (Gene Hackman), committing murder in the apartment of wealthy businessman Walter Sullivan. Richmond kills Sullivan's wife, with whom he was having an affair, and then makes it look as if the woman was killed during a burglary. When Whitney sees Richmond offering Sullivan his condolences on national television he decides to bring him to justice, only to find himself coming under suspicion from police detective Seth Frank (Ed Harris). Whitney is soon being pursued by both the police and Richmond's secret service agents.
