Film Description

Set during the French and Indian War in the 18th Century, a white man, adopted by the last members of a dying tribe known as the Mohicans, becomes the protector of the two daughters of a British Colonel, whose life is at risk from a vengeful warrior. Daniel Day Lewis, cast against type as an action hero, is superb, and the scene he shares with Madeleine Stowe beneath a waterfall has become something of a modern classic.
