Film Description

War drama set in North Africa before El Alamein where the Germans find, on interrogating the staff of an inn, that the daughter of the house is none other than Lilli Marlene - the original on whom the song is based. This seems like a coup for the Nazis until they find she is a patriotic Frenchwoman who refuses to sing the song in German. Then the Nazis threaten her parents, and although the British rescue Lilli from her fate, hidden dangers await.
