Film DescriptionA young doctor undergoes a spiritual crisis when he returns to his rural home in Jancsó's second feature film, which received the Hungarian Critics' Prize. In this work, influenced by Michelangelo Antonioni, Jancsó created the unique visual style for which he became known - the mesmerizing, sweeping camera movement, which emphasizes the relation between the characters and the vast Hungarian plain.
