Film Description

An action-packed instalment from the hugely popular series of thrillers based on author H.C. 'Sapper' McNeile's series of novels about ex-military man and soldier of fortune Captain Hugh 'Bulldog' Drummond (John Lodge). The plot centres around a group of nefarious armaments smugglers disguised as a pacifist organisation and headed by Ivan Kalinsky (Hugh Millner). They plan to steal the blueprints to Britain’s new remote controlled warplane. When their plans are rumbled by Scotland Yard they kidnap the inventor, who manages to put out a desperate signal for help, later picked up by Bulldog. Fending off the suspicious attentions of femme fatale Doris (Dorothy Mackaill), Bulldog and trusty sidekick Algy set about a rescue. Directed by Norman Lee and widely regarded as the closest of the film series to 'Sapper’s' original concept.
