Film Description

Cult thriller about three teachers on their way to a baseball game who stop off at a roadside garage. But rather than finding skilled mechanical help, they get two seriously warped individuals - a snivelling lunatic and his wildcat girlfriend - who make sport of the teachers' terror, subjecting them to relentless psychological torture.

The film was based on the real life serial killers Charles Starkweather and Carol Fugate, and was the first feature to be photographed by Oscar-winning DoP Vilmos Zsigmond.
