Film DescriptionA collection of four railway titles. Features Night Mail (1936), the classic GPO Film Unit production about the overnight Postal Special from Euston to Scotland. West of Inverness (1939) is an eloquent film about the problems faced by a rural community and the growing importance of the railway to communities threatened by depopulation. The Line To Skye (1973) is an Eddie McConnell film made to support the retention of the line from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh at a time when it was threatened with closure. Finally, A Line For All Seasons (1980) is a retrospective account of the building of the line from Glasgow Queen Street to Mallaig. Filmed by Eddie McConnell
