Film Description
Pairing of Tommy Trinder films. In The Foreman went to France (Charles Frend, 1943), as the Germans invade France at the start of WWII, a British firm sends a foreman over to the continent to bring back a piece of specialized machinery. Based on the true story of aircraft factory foreman Melbourne Johns.
In Fiddlers Three (Harry Watt, 1944), a pair of sailors take a Wren to Stonehenge, which turns out to be a time machine and transports them to Ancient Rome. From an original screenplay by Angus MacPhail and Diana Morgan.
