A View to a Kill DVD, 1985

Roger Moore's final Bond film sees him once again battling a madman (this time played by Christopher Walken) for control of the world. The fiendish plan on this occasion is to flood California's lucrative 'Silicon Valley' by imploding the San Andreas fault. Grace Jones plays May Day, the obligatory evil sidekick, while former 'Charlie's Angels' star Tanya Roberts had a brush with big screen fame as the Bond Girl, Stacey Sutton. James Bond. 007. Duran Duran. For lovers of glamour and sophistication, you need look no further than the James Bond series. It is a franchise founded on the basic premise of a timeless action-hero, equally adept at scaling cliffs as he is scaling the heights in the bedroom!

'A View to a Kill' is classic Bond. And despite Roger Moore's advancing years, this only adds to the feeling that you are witnessing another piece of Bond history. The die-hards will always take Connery as the definitive Bond, but for those of a certain age, it is the Moore version that they grew up and fell in love with.

So, the film itself. Fast cars, The Eiffel Tower, ski-slopes, The Golden Gate Bridge, beautiful girls. All the ingredients you would expect! Christopher Walken is wonderful as the deluded and deranged Max Zorin, whilst Tanya Roberts' charms, first seen in Charlies Angels, are apparent at every turn!

The soundtrack is truly glorious, and it ebbs and flows from start to finish. Indeed, Duran Duran struck gold with the title song which was a deserved US#1. < less
