Mission: Impossible (Season 1) DVD, 1967Availability Delivery Returns Policy
Film DescriptionThe complete 28-episode first series of the famed late-1960s series concerning the IMF (Impossible Mission Force), a team of secret agents working for the US government. A typical episode saw the team listening to a recorded message on a reel to reel tape player that outlined its mission before declaring 'this message will self-destruct in ten seconds' and then going up in a puff of smoke. Though the Cold War was never mentioned, missions frequently featured imaginary eastern European countries and the political theme was unmistakably of its time. In this first series the team, variously, recovers nuclear warheads in Central America, battles the Butcher of the Balkans, foils a plot by an eastern European terrorist to wipe out Los Angeles, and trips up a major heroin-smuggling baron. Episodes included: 'Pilot', 'Memory', 'Operation Rogosh', 'Old Man Out (1)', 'Old Man Out (2)', 'Odds On Evil', 'Wheels', 'The Ransom', 'A Spool There Was', 'The Carriers', 'Zubrovnik's Ghost', 'Fakeout', 'Elena', 'The Short Tail Spy', 'The Legacy', 'The Reluctant Dragon', 'The Frame', 'The Trial', 'The Diamond', 'The Legend', 'Snowball in Hell', 'The Confession', 'Action!', 'The Train', 'Shock', 'A Cube of Sugar', 'The Traitor' and 'The Psychi
