Film Description
Triple bill of films starring the great Robert Redford: Barefoot in the Park (Gene Saks, 1967), The Great Gatsby (Jack Clayton, 1974) and Indecent Proposal (Adrian Lyne, 1993).
Set in the decadent milieu of the 1920s, 'The Great Gatsby' stars Redford as the self-made, hedonistic millionaire, Jay Gatsby, who rekindles his affair with Daisy (Mia Farrow), now unhappily married to his even richer neighbour.
In 'Indecent Proposal', a down-on-their-luck yuppie couple, Diana and David Murphy (Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson), head for Las Vegas to win back their lifestyle. When they lose a lot of money at the tables, their only hope comes from rich gambler John Gage (Redford), who offers them a million dollars if he can sleep with Diana.
In 'Barefoot in the Park' (1967), Corie (Jane Fonda) and Paul (Redford) are newlyweds who begin living together and quickly find their dreams of domesticity don't tally. She loves their top-floor apartment with the leaky skylight - he can't cope with the stairs; she wants to party - he, exhausted after a day at the office, just wants to sleep. The situation is further complicated by the arrival of Fonda's mother and her fling with the newlyweds' neighbour.
