Film Description

Teenager Blanca (Ferrara) has a very low opinion of the boys in her small town, so she ventures further afield to bag herself a decent boyfriend. Of course, she doesn't exactly have the best role models when it comes to choosing men: her sexually frustrated mother is busy trying to seduce her best friend's husband, while her 80-year-old grandmother refuses to grow old gracefully. HOW THE GARCIA GIRLS SPENT THEIR SUMMER is a humourous and poignant ode to familial dysfunction, proving that for these three generations of women, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
