Film Description

This collection celebrates the former child star and born entertainer Mickey Rooney, with three films from his record-breakingly lengthy career. LITTLE LORD FAUNTLEROY (1936) is based on the lovable story by Frances Hodgson Burnett about a young Brooklyn boy is sent to live in England when it is revealed that he is the heir to an English estate. In LOVE LAUGHS AT ANDY HARDY (1946) Rooney plays an Army soldier who returns home from World War II to marry his college sweetheart. And in QUICKSAND (1950) he gets tangled up with two dangerous types--a knockout blonde (played by Jeanne Cagney) and a fiendish figure (played by Peter Lorre).
