'Rumpole and the Right to Silence' finds him defending an accused murderer from his niece's college. 'Rumpole at Sea' finds the Rumpoles on a second honeymoon but things do not run smoothly. 'Rumpole and the Quacks' sees Rumpole taking to bed and being cared for by a doctor, who in turn looks to Rumpole when he needs defending in court.
