Film Description
A moving modern parable that shows how personal strength and inner wisdom can overcome cycles of violence.
After the Chad government grants an amnesty to war criminals, 16 year-old Atim is given a gun by his grandfather so that he may kill the man who killed his father. He locates him and with the intention of avenging his father finds work with him as an apprentice baker. As Atim works with him and is taught the secrets of breadmaking a strange relationship develops between the two men. Despite his disgust, Atim seems to recognise in Nassara the father figure he needs, while Nassara sees the teenager as a potential son.
