Film Description

Edward Yang's last and greatest film is a three-hour family saga, a soap opera whose most trivial incidents raise profound questions about human existence. This is best illustrated by the young boy's hobby of taking pictures of the backs of people's heads, to help them see what they otherwise cannot.
