KlimtRaul Ruiz, 2006 Film DescriptionA lavish portrait of the Austrian artist Gustav Klimt, whose lavish, openly erotuc paintings came to symbolize the fin-de-siecle art nouveau style. The film opens in 1918 as Klimt lies on his death bed. We follow his feverish visions back to the Austrian pavillion at the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris, where he is awarded the gold medal for his work entitled ‘Philosophy’ and where he meets his muse and model Lea de Castro. Klaus Kinski's son, Nikolai, stars as Egon Schiele. ReviewsShare your thoughts - write a review Film Stills - click to view in full
