Film Description

Davis had to fight to play the tawdry, selfish waitress Mildred Rogers in this electrifying adaptation of the Somerset Maugham story in which she bewitches the sensitive, club-footed Philip Carey, leaving him for other men and returning when she is down on her luck, ruining any chance of a career or a life with another woman.
