From the Overlook Hotel in The Shining to the Bates Motel in Psycho, inns haven't gotten a good rap in the world of books and film. In The Lost Room, the Sunshine Motel doesn't fare much better.

Decades ago, an entire room at the Sunshine motel in New Mexico vanished under mysterious circumstances. Every object in the room at the time disappeared and these are now cropping up all over the world, imbued with bizarre and sometimes immensely powerful properties. Each Object has a unique power of its own, but when used with another Object, combine to produce even more strange effects.

When detective Joe Miller (Peter Krause – Six Feet Under) stumbles upon one of the objects - a motel key which opens literally any door in the world - he unlocks a sequence of events which result in the disappearance of his daughter in the Lost Room.

Now his only chance of finding his daughter again is for Joe to track down the other Objects from the motel room in the hope that one or more of them will help him in his quest. However he’s not the only one looking for Objects, as a diverse group of people are also in hot pursuit and they will stop at literally nothing to get them...
