Film Description

Comedy greats Jimmy Jewel and Hilda Baker star as Eli Pledge and his sister Nellie, in this classic, award-winning comedy. Eli is an aging lothario, Nellie is virtuous to the last, but in possession of a wonderfully flexible grip on the English language. They inherit the clapped out condiment company Pledge's Purer Pickles from their father. Much hilarity ensues amongst the malaproprisms, bolshie workforce and none-too-subtle double entendres as the siblings try their best to run a profitable company in spite of one another. All the episodes from the seventh and last series, in which the Pledges make a trip to Paris to try and sell some pickles, and the siblings are sparked into tidying up the factory and the workers by news of a royal visit.
