Film Description

Based on the book by Brian Moore, the film tells the story of Judith Hearne (an unforgettable Maggie Smith), a middle-aged spinster who earns a living by giving piano lessons in 1950s Dublin. She meets James Madden (Bob Hoskins), who has just returned from New York. Is she too late for love - or dare she let herself hope? Soon reality and fantasy become hopelessly mixed.
