Aces High has to be the worst film of it's time, or of any time. The ilm is very, very corny. For instance, Croft (Peter Firth) played an apauling part as a begginer pilot, asking the infantry for the way home, it simply woundn't of happened!Sure, Croft plays a good part for a goody-goody polite, rich person, but it humiliates the film! Other things that were terribly fake were the fact that there was no adding of flame coming from a firing gun, like on the opening action and alot of the action sequences are from the film 'The Blue Max'! it's truly an unrecommendable movie for any film collector, When I first saw the film I instantly thought 'great!' I then purchased the film and watched it over 20 times because I liked it, but after alot of studying in my interest for WWI and WWII, I then found what was really wrong about it.
I then purchased The Blue Max and found that the action sequences were the same as Aces High. Take my word for it, it's a badly made, corny film and I would give it a miss. 2 OUT OF 10. < less
