Film Description

Emmanuelle is on a Far East island to promote her new film 'Love Express'. Its ruler, Rajid, is bewitched by her beauty and determines to make her queen of his harem by any means necessary. Emmanuelle's lover flies out to the island to orchestrate her rescue.

Although a series of assistant directors were used for certain exteriors, namely the Cannes and Middle-Eastern segments, Borowczyk was responsible for the 'Love Express' section (the film with a film) After the critical backlash he distanced himself from the film, but it does contain recognisable elements such as his trademark lighting, handwritten notes and drawings, and themes of censorship and hypocrisy.
