Film Description

Based on the highly popular 'Doctor' series of books by Richard Gordon, Doctor in the House was a massive hit for ITV on its original transmission in 1969. The first series sees a group of well-meaning medical students earn the wrath of their ferocious Professor through their skiving and a certain tendency to chat up every pretty nurse in sight.

With scripts from Bill Oddie and Graeme Garden, John Cleese and Graham Chapman and Barry Cryer, the Doctor series lasted nearly a decade and was even revived in the 1990s as a further sequel. This set contains all 13 episodes from series one.
