One of the most famous and beloved films of all time. A charming musical fantasy, featuring an utterly beguiling performance by a young Judy Garland, ably supported by a host of tremendous character actors. These talented performers weave an enchanting spell as we follow Dorothy and company, on their journey to visit the Wizard of Oz. The switch from black and white to glorious Technicolor serves to heighten the film’s magic. This is topped off by a delightfully imaginative score that really drives the action forward, the highlight of which must be the enchanting and timeless ‘Over the Rainbow’, a song that only truly captivates when delivered by Garland’s distinctive tones. A film that appeals to generation after generation. RT. < less
