Film Description

A sitcom from the pen of Alan Bleasdale, about a fifteen year old's ambition to play for his beloved football team Liverpool FC. Scully dreams of becoming a world-class striker for Liverpool FC, like his hero Kenny Dalglish, but who is always bought crashing down to earth by the reality of his situation. A dysfunctional family, a train-spotting brother called Henry (Elvis Costello – who also performs the soundtrack Turning the Town Red) and an attention-seeking best mate all conspire to stop Scully from realising his dream.

Features many appearances from famous players, including Kenny Dalglish and the core of the 1986 FA Cup winning team.
