Film Description

A pairing of films starring two favourite child stars from the 1930s - Shirley Temple and Freddie Bartholomew. In 'The Little Princess', Temple stars as a young girl sent to boarding school when her father goes off to fight in the Boer War. When he is reported dead, she comes under the control of the evil schoolmistress. In 'Little Lord Fauntleroy' (John Cromwell, 1936) Batholomew plays the Brooklyn boy who wakes one day to find himself heir to a vast British fortune.
