Film DescriptionA pairing of Bing Crosby films. In 'Birth Of The Blues' (Victor Schertzinger, 1941), Crosby and Mary Martin star as two jazz artists in the swinging world of 1920s New Orleans. The film pays homage to Dixieland greats such as Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong, and features songs such as St. Louis Blues and St. James Infirmary. In 'Blue Skies' (Stuart Heisler, 1946), Crosby and dancing star Fred Astaire play friends turned romantic rivals in this musical featuring the songs of Irving Berlin.
