Film Description

ig-budget, live-action adaptation of the cult MTV animated series, starring Charlize Theron as the titular futuristic assassin. 400 years in the future, disease has wiped out most of the world's population. The survivors live in a vast, hi-tech city called Bregna, run by an authoritarian government of scientists. An underground rebellion movement, known as the Monicans, are starting to fight back, but when the Handler (Frances McDormand) dispatches top operator Aeon Flux (Theron) to kill a government leader, the assassin stumbles upon a vast conspiracy that has overwhelming implications for the future of the city.
