Film DescriptionWith animation in line drawings and pastel colours and with backgrounds only hinted at, My Neighbours The Yamadas offers a very different style of animation from Studio Ghibli, with the stories centred around the adventures of the eccentric Yamada family in modern day Tokyo, where Yakashi and Matsuko Yamada negotiate life, love and work, while dealing with their sharp-tongued grandmother, their morose teenage son, and their boisterous young daughter.
