Film DescriptionClassic thriller based on the novel by Ira Levin. Bud Corliss (Robert Wagner) is a money hungry college student who is struggling to be accepted by his girlfriend Dorothy (Joanne Woodward)'s wealthy family. Bud's problems are exacerbated when Dorothy becomes pregnant and as a result is likely to be disinherited and disowned by her family. Bud resorts to desperate measures and murders Dorothy, making the incident look like suicide. However, Dorothy's sister Ellen (Virginia Leith) soon becomes suspicious of the 'suicide' and begins to slowly unravel Bud's deadly scheme.
