Film Description

Kathy Bates won a surprise (though much-deserved) Oscar as Annie Wilks, the deranged fan of James Caan's pulp fiction writer, who imprisons her idol after rescuing him from a car wreck. Perhaps the best film adaptation of a Stephen King novel, Reiner's film expertly juggles black comedy and genuine scares.
