Film DescriptionGary Busey stars in this biopic of Fifties rock 'n' roller Buddy Holly, whose career was tragically cut short when he died in a plane crash in Iowa in 1959. Holly grows up in the redneck Texan community of Lubbock, and his dreams of making it as a songwriter are discouraged by both his mother - who wants him to get a proper job - and girlfriend. However, by the age of 22, Holly and his band, the Crickets, have embarked on their road to fame with hits such as 'That'll Be the Day' and 'Peggy Sue'.
