Film Description

Le Placard. Farce of the highest order with superb performances by Gerard Depardieu and Daniel Auteuil and Thierry Lhermitte. A tight script gives them the platform to produce a frothy, fun and life enhancing 85 minutes. Auteuil, in particular, as the under threat employee who uses the firm's political correctness to fight back by spreading rumours about his supposed homosexuality, has more than an echo of Alec Guinness in his helpless innocence.
