Film Description

Schnabel followed up Basquiat with the life of another artist, the Cuban poet and novelist, Reinaldo Arenas (1943-1990) from his childhood in Oriente province to his death in New York City. Javier Badem fully deserved the Oscar nomination in the title role and there are great cameos from Sean Penn and Johnny Depp too.
