Classic Film Noir
The American film noir was born in the years immediately after the Second World War, and its style was hugely influenced by Weimar-era German film directors such as Robert Wiene and Fritz Lang. These bleak films created a fascinating dystopia featuring iconic images of femme fatales, murderous rogues, world-weary detectives and razor-sharp dialogue.
